The Journey Institute continues the mission and vision of the
50 in 52 Journey
project. The
50 in 52 Journey
project sought to bring awareness of people across America who have taken an idea to solve a problem or build community and turned it into reality.
The Journey Institute will now seek to help those who have an idea for solving a community problem or in some way building community, but have no
idea how to take the idea off the couch and into the community.
The only constant is change. The Journey institute is currently working on
a new and exciting way to help reach those who want to make a change in their
communities but lack the knowledge or support to take the next step.

Inaugural TEDxCrestmoorPark event on September 21 will engage attendees to enable community change DENVER,
COLORADO
The Soiled Dove Underground will be the venue for the inaugural TEDxCrestmoorPark event on September 21, 2011 from 3:00 - 8:30 p.m.
The independently organized event, licensed by TED, is about breaking boundaries and building community, and will spotlight 14
presenters, all of whom have experienced life-changing setbacks that became the catalysts for community change.
In addition to the 14 presentations, TEDxCrestmoorPark will include an interactive event where all participants will be invited
to take part in a unique, life-sized board game exercise that will allow all participants to further develop their community engagement,
meet others with similar community-focused interests and ideas to enable change to better their community.
Interested attendees may register for the limited-space open to the public TEDxCrestmoorPark event at www.TEDxCrestmoorPark.com.
Attendees’ $36 ticket price will include all 14 presentations, the interactive board game exercise and networking with attendees and
presenters. Dafna Michaelson, the TEDxCrestmoorPark Event Chair explains, “Each of the presenters is breaking boundaries to achieve
their dreams, which focus on community and entrepreneurship. They have created jobs, built schools, beat the odds, gotten their lives
on track, even when prison seemed like the only repeat option. They have not waited to be asked, they have taken the bull by the
horns to make a stronger world. Attendees will hear their stories and have the opportunity to interact to further develop their
own community-focused dreams.”
